Eco-Committee

At St Peter's Eaton Square C of E Primary School, we take sustainability seriously. As an Eco-accredited school, our dedicated Eco Committee, made up of pupils from Year 1 to Year 6, is actively involved in our sustainability efforts. Here's a summary of what we've been working on:

  1. Vegetarian Food Options: We've added more vegetarian choices to our menu, promoting healthier eating and reducing our environmental impact.

  2. Recycling Projects: Our Eco-Committee organized a successful "Bags 2 School" campaign to recycle clothing, cutting down on waste and raising funds for future projects. Additional recycling bins have been placed around the school.

  3. Promoting Healthy Habits: The committee has been spreading awareness about healthy food choices and exercise, creating a culture of overall wellness.

  4. Sustainable Certificates: We've opted not to laminate certificates to reduce waste and encourage responsible resource usage.

  5. Plant Care: Our Eco-Committee takes care of plants around the school, enhancing our surroundings.

  6. Fairtrade Cake Sale: We hosted a successful Fairtrade cake sale to fund more recycling bins and raise awareness about Fairtrade practices.

These initiatives showcase our commitment to a sustainable and eco-friendly future.
