Year 6 Visits City Hall & Lord Mayor of Westminster
Year 6's BHM Art Talk with the Lord Mayor of Westminster and CEO Stuart Love
Year 6 Parliament visited Westminster City Hall to showcase their Black History Month artwork to the Lord Mayor of Westminster and CEO Stuart Love. The children spoke confidently about their inspirations—Gerald Williams and the AfriCOBRA art movement—and explained how they incorporated powerful words from James Brown’s “Say It Out Loud” to share a positive message through their pieces. They also discussed their learning throughout Black History Month and had the opportunity to ask the Lord Mayor and CEO thoughtful questions about their roles and responsibilities within City Hall.
