At St Peter’s, we celebrate Black History Month every October, but our appreciation of diverse cultures continues throughout the year across our curriculum and subjects. This year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride, inspired pupils to explore the lives and achievements of influential Black British figures — from athletes and politicians to musicians, chefs, and more. Each year group focused on a different individual or area of influence, learning about their impact and contributions to society. To conclude the month, every class proudly hosted a showcase for parents and carers, sharing their learning and celebrating the richness of Black history and culture together.
